Designing a digital expereince

This Final project was really an exciting journey. I really enjoyed it cause it gave me an opportunity to be visually creative and to also include all that I have learned through the class. There were some challenges I faced, the biggest one was figuring out if the students would come to this wiki to get the information for the project or would I also include instructional lectures and demonstration. I finally decided to include some instructional time cause If I never get to interact and show them what to do and how to do it, what will be the point of having them in class. so once I got over that hump I had to them my lesson Idea.

One thing I learned through this experience is that the way we are thought how to write lesson plans are outdated cause I had written the lesson plan out and once compared to the digital experience I was asked to design, I almost had to start over in my composition.

All in all I completed the task and I am happy to be sharing it with other teachers. I have shared it with 2 other art teachers already. I hope to do more with this in future.

This is a really nice idea for a wikispace. The whole concept is about collaboration. Its all about 5 schools work as etwinners in synergy since 2005. It has some amazing content and ideas that could be incorporated into my future classroom and school environment. The idea of also having various artist used from history in this collaboration is amazing.

This is wiki is used as a digital resource for the digital class in Chicago. Since its a digital class I expected more vibrant and energetic images and colors. But it served its purpose as a resource tool, loaded with content that could be used as reference point for various projects students might need additional help with. It also has a list of art degrees and art schools so even aspiring students might stumble upon this page and find it useful.

3) Energy Harvesting as Public Art: http://energyharvesting-art.wikispaces.com/
Now the content of this wiki was really cool. Its like the scientific art wiki page. On the site Energy Harvesting is described as a technology that generates electricity unobtrusively from biological and physical phenomena in the world. It has both practical ecological and artistic appeal. Very informative.

This wiki is used as a resource for educational experiences. Here you will find useful information about the Art Studio at Gateway Preparatory Academy. A space where interested people can find out about projects, schedules, art work, lesson plans, and competencies.

5) Capital Art Gallery: http://capitalart.wikispaces.com/
This wiki Focus is “The Beauty of Washington and its Surroundings”. It was a different kind of wiki and made me see the extensive use wikis can involved in. This wiki covers any and all interesting facts and things around the capital area.
